ESG documentation can influence whether a solar project is approved, financed and reported on. LONGi supplies evidence for it: independent ratings, certified management systems, traceable supply chains and a third-party assured Sustainability Report. This page maps that evidence to the regulations customers face.
Lenders apply their own checks on top, and scope and timing differ by country and are still changing. What these regimes have in common is a request for documented evidence from suppliers.
CSRD and the ESRS standards require in-scope companies to report on their value chain, including purchased goods and workers in the supply chain.
Germany’s LkSG, France’s Duty of Vigilance, Norway’s Transparency Act and the EU CSDDD require risk assessment, action and, in places, public reporting on suppliers.
EU consumer rules and France’s Climate and Resilience Law limit how environmental benefits can be advertised.
Banks and investors run ESG due diligence before they lend, and often ask for the same documents.
LONGi does not give legal advice and its customers remain responsible for their own compliance. This map shows which LONGi evidence supports each requirement and where to find it.
Five systems support the documents: management certifications, procurement, reporting, governance and materiality analysis.
ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety), ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 50001 (energy), at 100% of manufacturing bases. At group level LONGi holds ISO 37001 (anti-bribery) and ISO 37301 (compliance management).
SGS has also issued a performance statement against the ISO 26000 social responsibility guidance.
The 2024 edition follows the GRI Standards, references IFRS S1 and S2 and includes an independent assurance report.
The Board’s Strategy and Sustainability Committee oversees ESG, a Chief Sustainability Officer is directly responsible for climate issues, and risk follows a three-lines-of-defense model. Climate is on the Board agenda at least once a year.
It was LONGi’s first analysis of ESG impacts, risks and opportunities on a double-materiality basis.
Share it with the ESG team: CSRD data points, a supplier risk analysis, a vigilance plan, or an ESG due diligence questionnaire.
The pack can include the Sustainability Report, supplier due diligence report, traceability report, product carbon footprints, certificates and policies.
The ESG team answers follow-up questions from your auditors or lenders.
Lenders run their own ESG checks. This list matches common requests to LONGi evidence, so a review can move faster.
SBTi-approved and aligned with 1.5°C.
Available by module series.
A Traceability Information Report for each shipment.
Anonymous reporting by phone, email and online, with an investigation procedure.
No environmental penalties and no major ethics violations reported in 2024.
Sustainability Report to GRI, referencing IFRS S1 and S2, with an assurance report.
Environmental claims are now regulated. Three habits help keep them substantiated.
Quote the footprint value, the standard it follows (ISO 14067, EPD or ECS) and the year. Avoid general terms such as “green” or “eco” without proof.
A zero-carbon factory certification does not make the modules carbon neutral. Neutrality claims that rely on offsets are restricted under EU and French rules.
Footprints and ratings change with each assessment. Check the certificate date, and ask LONGi for the latest version before you publish.

Established frameworks give lenders and buyers comparable data.

Documents and data LONGi provides for compliance and lender reviews.
Scope 1 to 3 emissions, supplier audit results, human rights performance and governance data.
A GRI index shows where each data point sits.
Customers can use them to evidence the numbers they report.

Operational greenhouse gas emissions at LONGi declined by 37 percent in 2024 against 2023. Technical efficiency and a 47.5 percent renewable energy ratio support CSRD compliance for European partners.

What is human rights due diligence, and how does LONGi do it?
It is a process to identify, prevent and address human rights risks across a company’s operations and supply chain. LONGi follows the UN Guiding Principles and OECD guidance: risk analysis, audits, corrective action, training and grievance channels.
What does LONGi provide for a French vigilance plan?
Supplier risk ratings, audit and corrective-action results, alert channels and the annual due diligence report, which feed the risk mapping and monitoring parts of a plan.
How does LONGi handle information requests under the Norway Transparency Act?
Send the request to the ESG team. LONGi replies with its policies and due diligence results.
Which parts of the Sustainability Report help with ESRS data points?
GHG emissions (E1), resource use and circular economy (E5), supplier and worker data (S2) and business conduct (G1). The report’s index shows where each disclosure sits.
Can I call LONGi modules “low carbon” or “carbon neutral” in marketing?
Use the certified figure with its standard and year instead of a general label. LONGi’s zero-carbon factory certification does not make its modules carbon neutral. Ask your legal team to review claims.
Is the Sustainability Report independently assured?
The 2024 report includes a third-party assurance report.
Which ISO certificates does LONGi hold?
ISO 14001, 45001, 50001 and 9001 at all manufacturing bases. ISO 37001, 37301 and 20400 at group level, plus an SGS performance statement against ISO 26000.
What ESG ratings does LONGi hold?
EcoVadis Gold (top 5%), MSCI ESG rating, S&P Global CSA Industry Mover, CDP and others. See Awards and ratings above for the current scores.
What is in the ESG evidence pack?
Sustainability Report, supplier due diligence report, traceability and carbon documents, certificates and policies.
