The 7.482 MWp floating PV installation on the Waldmattensee near Lahr uses 12,900 LONGi solar modules and was constructed by EPC contractor M/R Energiesysteme for the VOGEL-BAU Group. The system covers approximately 15% of the lake's surface and has an estimated annual electricity generation equivalent to the consumption of 2,800 households. At its completion in August 2025, it was Germany's third-largest floating solar installation.
