LONGi has secured a place on BloombergNEF's (BNEF) Tier 1 global energy storage system manufacturer list for the fourth quarter of 2026, marking its tenth consecutive appearance. The latest assessment, published on 30 October, comes amid tighter qualification requirements for energy storage manufacturers, with greater emphasis on project financing and commercial implementation. LONGi's continued inclusion reflects its track record in delivering energy storage projects across international markets and its growing capabilities in integrated storage systems.
Project financing and operational reliability gain importance in energy storage
BloombergNEF's Tier 1 classification is an established reference for developers, investors and financial institutions evaluating energy storage manufacturers. The classification focuses on manufacturers' project track records and their ability to supply systems for commercially financed projects. The Q4 2026 assessment places additional emphasis on these requirements as energy storage projects become larger and increasingly dependent on long-term financial and operational performance.
International projects demonstrate LONGi's storage capabilities
For LONGi, the tenth consecutive listing comes as the company expands its LONGi ONE storage business internationally. Recent projects in Europe and Australia show the company's ability to deliver systems for different commercial applications, including electricity market participation, grid stabilization and independent power supply.
