LONGi Solar is strengthening its partnership with Sunhit, currently LONGi’s sole authorized partner in Armenia and a certified solar distributor and engineering partner. The collaboration aims to bring high-efficiency back contact technology to the Armenian market and support the country’s growing demand for reliable, high-performance solar solutions. The renewal of Sunhit’s Authorized Partner Certificate underscores this cooperation, reaffirming its role as LONGi’s local partner while expanding access to advanced photovoltaic solutions through the combination of LONGi’s technology portfolio and Sunhit’s in-country expertise in system design, distribution, and technical support.
As part of the renewed collaboration, representatives from LONGi and Sunhit visited Yerevan in July to meet with business leaders, institutional stakeholders, and academic partners. The discussions will focus on the deployment of high-efficiency solar solutions, local project requirements, and the role of advanced back contact technology in Armenia’s evolving energy landscape. The event concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), strengthening the long-term strategic partnership between Sunhit and LONGi Solar, under which Sunhit continues to serve as LONGi Solar's official partner in Armenia.
Growing demand for high-performance solar drives technology deployment in Armenia
The partnership expands access to advanced photovoltaic solutions in Armenia, where strong irradiation and a rising share of commercial and industrial applications are increasing demand for higher efficiency and long-term system performance. The introduction of LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 back contact technology through Sunhit supports both near-term project implementation and the continued development of the Armenian solar market. As LONGi’s sole authorized partner in Armenia, Sunhit has built dedicated expertise in LONGi’s product portfolio, enabling access to high-efficiency solar solutions across the country, supported by local engineering capabilities and technical service.

The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reaffirms the ongoing partnership between the companies, with the shared objective of furthering the commercial and promotional development of LONGi’s product portfolio in the local market.
Dialogue with the industry supports solar development
As part of this collaboration, LONGi and Sunhit visited Yerevan to engage with business leaders, institutional stakeholders, and academic partners, focusing on the deployment of high-efficiency solar solutions, evolving project requirements, and the contribution of back contact technology to energy yield and system reliability under local conditions. Discussions centered on the Hi-MO X10 module, LONGi’s flagship solution for commercial and distributed generation applications.
The dialogue takes place in a market that has seen significant acceleration in recent years, with cumulative installed solar capacity surpassing 1 GW and solar already accounting for around 15% of national electricity generation. This growth, driven by strong irradiation conditions and increasing adoption across residential and commercial applications, is reshaping performance expectations for new solar installations.
Hi-MO X10 and HPBC 2.0: Technology supporting high-efficiency solar deployment
The Hi-MO X10 product series represents LONGi's most advanced back contact module for commercial and distributed generation applications. By relocating all electrical contacts to the rear of the cell, the underlying HPBC 2.0 technology (Hybrid Passivate Back Contact) eliminates front-side electrode shading entirely, maximizing the active surface area exposed to sunlight and unlocking significantly higher energy yields than conventional module designs. The result is a module that delivers up to 670 W of output power at a module efficiency of 24.8% and a cell efficiency of 26.6%.
The platform incorporates a zero-busbar design, TaiRay n-type wafer, and multi-layer passivation structure to maximize light absorption and long-term reliability. First-year degradation is approximately 1%, with an annual linear degradation rate of 0.35% and a temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C.
The visit will also mark the introduction of LONGi ONE, LONGi's integrated solar-plus-storage system combining back contact module technology with the company's proprietary energy storage platform, as the company expands its offering beyond solar generation toward full-cycle clean energy solutions.
