During the Intersolar exhibition in Munich on June 24, 2026, LONGi signed a memorandum of understanding with the Spanish provider Emececuadrado. This partnership expands the commercial supply chain across Spain and Portugal. The agreement establishes a clear framework to deliver battery energy storage systems over a multi-year period. Specifically, the contract runs from June 2026 through December 2028. Hugo Fernández, the General Manager South Europe at LONGi DG, finalized the terms with Luis Francisco Sánchez Álvarez, the COO from Grupo Emececuadrado. Ultimately, this cooperation supports the commercial energy transition across the Iberian peninsula.

Shared technology vision drives regional storage deployments

Leadership from both organizations highlighted the strategic value of the deal. Hugo Fernández explained the operational focus. "This agreement carries high strategic value for our Iberian presence. The market trend clearly points toward hybrid setups. Our commercial storage platforms provide the necessary technology relevance. We pursue a strong partnership vision with Emececuadrado." Luis Francisco Sánchez Álvarez confirmed the technical advantages for local projects. "LONGi delivers the quality and reliability that our commercial projects need. This storage technology ensures reliable differentiation in a competitive market. We rely on the high competence of our partner to satisfy customer demand. We expect substantial market growth over the next two years."

Integrated hybrid systems resolve commercial energy challenges

The commercial framework focuses directly on the commercial and industrial sector to resolve regional grid constraints. Together, the companies plan to deploy the storage technology across five to ten specific commercial projects. These installations require an annual deployment target of 10 megawatt-hours. This steady rollout systematically fulfills a total pipeline size of 25 megawatt-hours. Furthermore, the overall hardware capacity reaches up to 30 megawatt-hours of energy storage. Emececuadrado acts as a specialized procurement and construction provider to integrate these systems. In practice, these hybrid setups empower commercial operators to execute strategies to reduce peak demand. The technical configuration allows commercial facilities to maximize self-consumption and strengthen their energy resilience.

Shared technology standards ensure high reliability for regional installers

Emececuadrado (Consulting de Energías Renovables Siglo XXI, S.L.) brings more than ten years of experience to the Iberian energy services market. To guarantee long-term performance, the company consistently utilizes premium hardware in its project portfolio. This shared commitment to high-quality standards drives the new strategic partnership. For future hardware deployments, the long-term commercial rollout provides clear visibility. A successful track record at sites like the ALUMASA facility clearly demonstrates the execution capabilities of the regional partner.
