LONGi will participate as a sponsor of the fair, while SM Advance Energy, Ambassador of the LONGi Club, will have a stand on October 21 and 22 in Agüimes, Gran Canaria.
LONGi will participate as a sponsor in Canagua y Energía 2026, which will be held on October 21 and 22 at the Agüimes Exhibition Center. The meeting, promoted by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and organized by Infecar, will bring together companies, administrations and experts around new solutions related to water, energy and sustainability.
The opening day will include a presentation by Francisco Javier Hernández, Sales Manager LONGi Iberia, on LONGi's ecosystem of energy solutions, BESS storage and photovoltaic technologies adapted to the islands, with special attention to the Anti-Dust module.
For its part, SM will have a stand during the two days of the fair, from which it will show different photovoltaic self-consumption solutions.
New technologies for more efficient photovoltaics
One of LONGi's main advances is the generation of HPBC 2.0 cells, developed to improve efficiency and performance and make better use of the available surface area. This is especially important in island territories such as the Canary Islands, where space is limited and dust and particles in certain areas can affect both the performance and maintenance of the facilities. To respond to these conditions, LONGi has developed the Anti-Dust module which, unlike traditional panels, has a "self-cleaning" frame design. The frame and the glass surface are at the same height on the short sides. This makes it the perfect solution for demanding environments with a high level of society or airborne particles.
From the module to the energy ecosystem
The sector is no longer limited to more efficient modules: solar generation is increasingly integrated with storage and management tools. In this context, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) systems play a key role in allowing energy to be stored and used according to the demand and conditions of each project.
During the two days of the fair, SM will present LONGi's LONGi ONE ecosystem, which complements PV solutions with BESS solutions. A wide portfolio for different solutions already available.
Technology applied to real projects in the Canary Islands
As LONGi's Canarian Ambassador, SM acts as a link between the manufacturer's innovation and its practical application in the archipelago, incorporating new technologies into projects adapted to each client. It develops each project from start to finish, from study and design to installation, commissioning, monitoring and maintenance, thus offering a 360° solution.
"The evolution of photovoltaics is leading to increasingly specialised solutions. In the Canary Islands, where each project may be conditioned by the available space, the environment or consumption needs, it is especially important to know the new technologies and know how to apply them appropriately to each installation."
An appointment to learn about the new trends in the sector
Interested professionals and companies will be able to visit the SM stand on October 21 and 22 to discover LONGi's new products and the latest technological advances, as well as attend, on the first day, the presentation of Francisco Javier Hernández.
